My deepest sympathy to the Digman and Funke families. Verna Lee and Ed were such good neighbors when we lived near them in the country. They were always ready to lend a helping hand. May they rest in peace.

Mary Kay, Joanne, Sharon, and Jeff. I'm so sorry for the lose of your mom Verna Lee. She was a terrific lady. I remember coming to your house and she and her sisters trying to show us how to quilt. I wasn't a very good student. She always had a smile and something nice to say. The last time I saw her was in Chad's Pizza. She was there with Jeff and his wife. She knew me right away even though it had been many years since she had seen me. May the happy memories comfort you during this hard time. Prayers and Hugs to all. Barb (Lahr) Ronnau

Dear family of Verna Lee, My heart was saddened when the bling came on my phone that your dear mom had passed away. As you walk in the valley of darkness, please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers. We know because of the life your mom lead, that she is enjoying the bright light of Heaven with all the family that have gone before her. When I joined the blue birds of happiness at the Xavier hot lunch program, your mom took me under her wing to teach me the ropes of my job. I really enjoyed working with her because she was so absolute kind to me. She would bring me home from work and never would she take a dime. Sometimes she would have to remind me to not fling the white dishtowel over my shoulders, and she did it so tactfully so as to never make me feel bad. What a hard worker and never complained. Your mom carved a special niche in my heart and I will never forget her. May she rest in peace, free of all the crisis this earth is going through right now. So very sorry. Miriam Eick
