Dear Bartels family,
I am so sorry about Nick's passing. I know Nick from the Lincoln Square neighborhood. We had many nice conversations through the years and he was always very friendly and such a nice human being.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Nick's passing. He was a good friend of mine from a very young age, growing up just a few blocks from each other. One memory I had when we were little was when Nick got a new black puppy. We took the puppy outside and he went dashing down the street. We went chasing him, and suddenly the puppy turned and ran right past us. We followed the puppy all the way back to the front door of his house.

To the Bartels family,
Nick was a classmate and teammate of mine at Beckman, and I was sad to hear of his passing. Although, I don't believe we saw each other since graduating high school, I remember him being a very nice person who enjoyed anything that he was doing.
I would like to share Nick's entry in our Senior Prayer book...
"That we as Seniors, strive to achieve our goals present and future. That we come together as a class, not excluding anyone from anything, and for the friendships that we made and have yet to be made. May they stay strong even after we are gone."
I hope that Nick achieved his goals and much more.
