Dad grew up in Morley next door to the Greenawald Family. The whole family had a major influence on his life and Jan was like a sister to him. They graduated together, Morley Class of 1952. My siblings and I grew up hearing stories of his memories and always knew how much he loved them. My favorite story--and he told it often--was about how Jan was able to take the jeans off the clothes line, give them a strong shake, and whip them into softness so they could be easily folded and comfortable to wear. I can almost picture the image myself. I am glad that they remained close through Dad's final days and find comfort in my thought that they have somehow re-connected.
