Doris,
We are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was such a kind and gentle soul, and we appreciate that we got to know him better over the last couple years on tractorcade. Sending you sympathy as you lay him to rest during this difficult time and under difficult and unusual circumstances. Sending you a big viral hug, and our prayers for peace and healing and you move forward without your Bob walking beside you.

I am so sorry for your lost. Bob was such a great guy. I seen just about every morning during the week out at the gas station, prior to all of this going on. He was always ready with a smile and a welcoming Hi. I will miss seeing him.

Dear Doris, Pat, Nancy, and family, We are very sorry to hear about Bob. He was always so kind to all of us and such a dear friend to my dad. He will be missed by all those that were lucky enough to know him. I remember many times Bob was out at the house helping dad with a project. Those two men really were happy and goofy when they were together. I can only hope that Bob has dad on the golf course again. Our heart aches for your loss and know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
With love, Todd and Gina Ryan

Bob was always a generous and caring person. Doris, we will always remember the get togethers after bowling. We are so sorry for you and your family. It is such a shame that we are forced to resort to these means to express our sorrow, but as you will get through this, so will everyone else. Stay strong in your faith. Dave and Charlotte Neises

Our friendship with Bob & Doris started on the ball field many years ago. So many years of fun and friendship! Bob had a great sense of faithfulness - he never forgot you. Even on his many trips to the Dr, he always had time to stop in for a chat and many laughs. Not everyone in life is so fortunate to have a "Bob" such as this to walk life's journey with them. We have been so blessed
to have had him be a part of our life.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family of an outstanding man! I had the pleasure of working with Bob at John Deere. We both had the same passion for the Cubs. Bob was a very caring person and as stated in the obit, he would do anything for anybody. RIP Bob. You will be missed by many!

Dear Doris, Children and Grandchildren,
It is going to take a lot of prayers to the Holy Spirit to help me find the words that can truthfully describe what Bob meant to Robert and me. He was always only a phone call away. " Oh Bob", could you please take me to Iowa City next week as I have a doctor appointment. "Oh Bob", my toys will be ready Friday morning at 9:00 A. M. can you help me out? For years, Bob did this for us, not to mention how many times he brought me home from church. In payment, he would accept a loaf of bread and thank you note. We are expressing our profound sympathy to you Doris, your children and grandchildren and extended family. Bob, may you rest in peace and celebrate your new-found Easter with the Lord and the Blessed Mother Sincerely meant, The Eicks.

I will miss his infectious smile, his loving concern for everyone, and not seeing him at coffee break at the Xavier rectory. We were Blessed to have him in our community. He brought a lot of joy to us. May the joy of Easter be with him and his family.
