David H. Pasker, 56, of Dyersville died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iowa City after a short battle with cancer. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 5 p.m. Friends may continue to call from 12:00 Noon - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville. Rev. Raymond Burkle will officiate. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 137 after mass. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Francis Cemetery in Dyersville. David was born June 27, 1954, in Dyersville, Iowa the son of Wilfred and Dolores (Platten) Pasker. He graduated from Beckman High School with the class of 1972 and joined the US Air Force from 1973 -1977. After his service he attended Loras College. He managed several retail businesses throughout his career. David loved to golf, bowl and play cards. Surviving are his parents, Wilfred and Dolores Pasker of Dyersville, 4 brothers: Dale, Marvin (Jane), Brian (Lois), all of Dyersville and Bruce (Jodi) of Mitchellville, IA; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Cecilia Pasker and Henry and Florentine Platten.
