Jane Ann Greenwood, 82, of Monticello, Iowa died Sunday, October 17, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello, Iowa where a parish scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello, Iowa, with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Keith Birch and assisting will be Deacon Steven Strang. Jane Ann was born on January 15, 1928, in Cascade, Iowa, the daughter of Al and Olivia (Loes) Strang. She attended country school in Cascade and married Dwight Greenwood on November 26, 1946, in Cascade, Iowa. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello and worked at the John McDonald Hospital, the Monticello Senior Home and the Anamosa Care Center. She had a great love for playing cards, playing bingo and making pies. Survivors include her children: Mary Lou (Chuck) Classen, Mark Greenwood and Luanus (Paul) Jamieson, all of Monticello, Lynne (John) Richter of Earlville and Cheryl (Don) Marcov of Dubuque; siblings: Rosemary Heims-Turnis of Cedar Rapids, Alan (Evadeen) Strang, John (LaVonne) Strang and Steven (Nancy) Strang, all of Cascade, and Thomas Strang of Cedar Rapids; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Jimmie, 2 grandsons: Jason Wolfe and Eddie Hemmer, Jr., and a granddaughter, Jennifer Jamieson; 2 sisters: Winona Schlemme and Phyllis Gross.
