I am so sorry to hear of Jean's passing. Jean was a mentor and colleague to many of the ET Nurses throughout Iowa, including me. She was a well respected nurse and provided some good laughs as well. RIP Jean, you will be missed.

Jean was a very special person and mentor to me as a new ET nurse! A shining example of professionalism and compassion! Her knowledge always impressed me as well as her enthusiasm for her role as a Wound Ostomy specialist! Her smile always lit up the room! She will be greatly missed by all who knew her!

My condolences to all in Jean's family. How sad I was to hear of her passing. Jean was a
wonderful colleague at St. Luke's Hospital. Her enthusiasm and dedication for her work
and patients was admirable. Whenever she was notified about a need for her services
in our department she responded cheerfully and came as soon as she was able. Even
at the end of her shift she would still come and care for the patient. Jean was a warm
caring person. I am grateful to have known her and worked with her.

I am so very sorry to hear about Jean's passing. I hope that the great memories you have will bring you all comfort in the coming days. It was such a privilege to work at St Luke's Hospital with Jean. She was an exceptional nurse, a great educator, and she always had such a great sense of humor. She had such a great rapport with patients, meeting them in some of their most difficult moments. She had a knack for being so compassionate, so uplifting and I will never forget her or her wonderful smile.

Dear Family and Friends of Jean, Just read the obituary in The Cedar Rapids Gazette. My condolences. I knew Jean from out time at U of Iowa; we worked on several projects together and her humor and intelligence got us thru our assignments. Later we collaborated on programs for the Ostomy Association. Jean's knowledge and dedication to patient care was well-known and respected by patients, families, physicians, nurses, and others. I had lost track of Jean but remember her so well. She lovingly talked of her family and your many events. No doubt she was the Fun Aunt. I send good thoughts to you as your mourn the loss of Jean and her presence in your lives. Knowing her she would not want you to be sad for long - celebrate her life, her faith and her legacy. Again, I am very sorry for the loss of Jean.

Jean took care of me in 1988 after my surgery and she was so kind and compassionate. She knew her job and she was so funny. I actually looked forward to seeing her. A few years later she took care of my husband and she cried with me. My condolences to her family.

To Jean's family.
We are so sorry about Jean. We have had many great times together, starting with 4-H activities, sharing nursing experiences, and having way too many laughs on our "NPA" weekends. Jean loved to have a great time, but above all, she loved all of you and was so happy to be back in Dyersville, close to you. She will be missed. RIP, Jean.
