John seemed like a great person, and very selfless. I’m so sorry for your loss. Something that comforts me is to think about the hope we have for the future. The Bible promises that we will be able to be reunited with those who we have lost in death, here on the earth, and we will be able to live in a world with no death or sickness. (Revelation 21:4) We will also be able to have a peaceful life. Isaiah 65:21,22 says: “They will build houses and live in them, And they will plant vineyards and eat their fruitage... For the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, And the work of their hands my chosen ones will enjoy to the full.” It’s so nice to think about a time in the near future where we will be able to live in peace on the earth, and we will be able to have freedom and happiness without a fear of death. I hope you can find comfort in these thoughts until the day where you are able to see John again.

Marilyn, I think you used to babysit us when we were little. So sorry to hear of your loss. Also Inez is my aunt as Mom was a Hermsen. May you find comfort in the memories of the love you shared.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in knowing that soon God will reunite us with our loved ones that have fallen asleep in death. John 5: 28 says: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Revelation 21:4 speaks of a time when God will wipe out all death, suffering, mourning, outcry and pain forever, a time we can all look forward to, when there will be no more funerals, cemeteries, or tears of grief.
