Obituary of Rebecca Lynn Krapfl
DUBUQUE, IOWA
Rebecca “Becca” Lynn Krapfl, 32, of Dubuque, passed away at MercyOne in Dyersville, IA, on April 3rd, 2019, after a long battle with declining health.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 8, 2019, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville.
A Private Funeral Service will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Vienna with Rev. John O’Connor officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Becca was born on June 12th, 1986, in Dubuque, and she was the seventh of eight children, born to David and LuAnn (Nadermann) Krapfl. Becca graduated from Loras College, after studying graphic design and archeology. She lived as an artist and worked as a graphic designer in Dubuque. Becca enjoyed creating art and sharing artful experiences with her family, friends, and coworkers. She was especially close with all twenty of her nieces and nephews.
Becca is survived by her parents, David and LuAnn of New Vienna, her brothers and sisters: Marty Krapfl of New Vienna; Connie Niklasen, her children, Stephanie, Katie, Ben, Peter, and Andy; Nancy (Chris) Cook of Manchester, their children, Amber, Blake, and Adam; Tony (Janice) Krapfl of Epworth, their children, Emma, Carrie, Meg, and Sam; Jess (Nathan) Goedken of Earlville, their children, Trinity and Xander; Jake (Sarah) Krapfl of New Vienna, their children, Allie, Joshlyn, Gabby, and Randy; and her younger sister, closest friend, and partner-in -crime, Rose, (Alex) Recker of Arlington, and their children, Carly and Emily.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mike and Alma (Althoff) Nadermann, her paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Laurine (Deutmeyer) Krapfl.
The family wishes to thank the New Vienna/Luxemburg Fire Department, Bi-County Ambulance, and staff at MercyOne in Dyersville for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials will be donated to an organization close to Becca’s heart.
