CASCADE, IOWA

 

Earl C. Manternach, 66, of Woodward, Iowa died Thursday, February 28, 2019.

 

Private services will be held at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello.  He will be returned to his parents at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cascade.

 

Earl was born November 7, 1952, in Cascade, Iowa the son of Arnold and Germaine (Trumm) Manternach.   Earl was severely handicapped and spent most of his life at Woodward State Hospital and School.

 

Survivors include his siblings: Virginette (Jim) Downey of Elkader, Kenneth (Mary Anne) Manternach of Rickardsville, Dennis Manternach and Merle Manternach both of Cascade, Mary Lee (Ronald) Vorwald of Worthington, Diane (Dennis) Fitzsimmons of Monticello, Carmen (Randy) Mormann of Petersburg and Doris Manternach of Waterloo.                    

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Germaine on July 3, 1982 and Arnold on February 26, 1995, and a sister-in-law, Marian Manternach.
