Bonita F. “Bonnie” Fettkether, 84, of Dyersville, Iowa passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center, Dyersville, Iowa. 

 

Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville, Iowa where the American Legion Auxiliary will gather at 4 p.m. for their service.

 

Private family funeral service and burial at St. Francis Cemetery.

 

Bonnie was born April 8, 1934, in Marengo, Iowa the daughter of Willard and Marie (Rauch) Mumby.  She married Donald L. Fettkether October 5, 1950 in Marengo, Iowa.  Together they owned and operated Fett’s Meadow Gold Dairy in Dyersville.  She was known as the Avon “Lady” for 25 years. Bonnie enjoyed crocheting, garage sales, playing cards & games, traveling (which included all 50 states and many tropical islands) and was an avid reader.  She also loved a good Elvis show at the Casino. She was a loving and devoted, mom, gram, and great-gram. The pride and focus of her life was her family.

 

Bonnie is survived by her children: Charles Fettkether of Iowa City, Linda (George) LeMay of Worthington, Kathy (Randy) Harter of New Vienna, grandchildren: Matthew (Bre) Fettkether, Jesse (Stephanie) Fettkether, Joshua (Kelley) Fettkether, Brenda LeMay (special friend, Brad Wynn), Jeffrey (Emily) LeMay, Brian (Fiancé, Michelle Haberkorn) Steger,

great grandchildren: Kylee and Madison Fettkether, Nathan and Nicholas Stelken, Blair Woodward, Carter and Layla Steger, Brandon Kipper, in-laws: Dr. Kenneth (Lois) Fettkether of Marengo, Mary Alice Fettkether of Dyersville.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don in 2006, sons: Robert, David, and James Fettkether, in-laws: Howard Fettkether.

 

The family would like to thank Dr. Snyder and the Dyersville Mercy Medical nursing staff for their compassionate care. Also a thank you to the St. Francis Xavier Clergy.
