Dear Deb and family
I didn’t really know John , but did meet him in South Dakota in July. He was getting ready to go out and do some sightseeing with your sweet dog, He took the time to talk with me and he seemed like a very happy and engeretic man. I pray that God will hold you tight as you go through this difficult time.

Debbie and family,
I was so broken-hearted to learn of John's passing this morning when I saw his funeral announcement in the TH. I'd been wondering how he was doing since it had been such a long time since I'd heard from him. I am so sorry I never followed up after he left the DCSO. I emailed him once but never heard back.
John was such a nice man and he found such joy in music-making. It was an honor to know him and have him as part of the orchestra for so long. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Deb, On December 27, 2018, Almighty God thought He needed a violinist to accompany the choir of Angels so He reached down and tapped John on the shoulder and said," Come with me into the Highest Heavens". John has been preparing for this journey for many years by serving the faithful of this community and dedicating countless hours to our parish and school. He was a very learned man who could easily challenge any of us gals who helped him at the library. We will miss him playing our Christmas music at the Dyer House. We are walking hand in hand with you Deb, as you walk in the valley of darkness. Even though John has seen the Great Light, those left behind to mourn his sudden and unexpected death, will miss his ever presence in our sanctuary at St. Francis Xavier Church. Warm thoughts and prayers for you Deb. Sincerely meant Miriam
