Vince was born December 27, 1920 in Worthington, Iowa, the son of Paul and Mary Mae Rubner. He married Mary Irene Heisler on November 26, 1946, in Dyersville, Iowa.
He was an avid fisherman, taking numerous trips to International Falls in Minnesota. He was highly involved in the Dyersville Legion and a proud veteran. He was a devoted husband, never far from his wife and very seldom seen apart. His love for Purple Martins grew over time, building Purple Martin houses and watching them out the kitchen window. He is probably remembered most for his 37 years of service maintaining County roads.
Vince is survived by his 4 sons, David (Betty) of Andover, MN, Kenneth (Bev) of Marion, IA, Thomas (Deb) and Daniel (Kim) both of Worthington, IA; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Rubner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Irene, parents, and 3 brothers; Bob Rubner, Clarence (LaVern) Rubner, and Don (Virginia) Rubner.
