My deepest sympathy for your loss. What seems to be a long life is never long enough where our loved ones are concerned. Our Heavenly Father Jehovah feels the same way. That is why He has promised to swallow up death forever and soon end all our suffering. (Rev. 21:3-5; Isa. 25:8) May His promises be a soothing balm for your grieving hearts.

Dear family of Bud and Jane Ross,
How could anyone forget Jane and Bud Ross? In the short time that I came to know them, I was fascinated by the stories they could tell and the legacy they left their children. I will always cherish the phone call of alert that I would get that Bud was coming over to the garage with some clothes and other items. Would I take them? I learned after the first donation that when I saw Ross on my caller id, that meant some ironed and crisply ironed clothes would be arriving in a grocery box that they liked returned so they could fill it up again. Oh then the conversations would begin and a half hour later your dad would say, "Miriam, I had better get home to Jane". You were blessed and I extend my sincere sympathy to each of you as you walk in the valley of darkness. Both your parents have now seen the Great Light and for them we rejoice. Hi Mike I remember you coming also. Miriam Eick

To the Ross Family,
I'm sending good thoughts to your family upon the loss of your mother. I spent so many happy times in the Ross home as a child, playing with my best friend Susan. Your mom always had her beautiful smile and warm laughter at the ready when I visited. I even had fantasies of her being MY mom -- she always seemed so generous and welcoming, even though I'm sure there were overwhelming family responsibilities at times, given your large family. Your mom was so very proud of all of you. I had quite a long phone conversation with her about the time your dad passed away; it was lovely to reminisce with her about times spent with our two families, when life seemed simpler and more peaceful. I will always cherish her presence in my life. Sending much love to all of you.

Dear Ross Family and Schlueter relatives.... is there any doubt that this beautiful mother is even now smiling at each of you and wanting to share with you her joy in reaching the eternal Kingdom! Over the years it has been a great blessing to have been a part of not only Metonga summer vacations but also sharing in the ever growing hunger and thirst both Jane and Bud expressed along the way. Many phone calls, a trip to Franciscan University' books shared and emails exchanged in the intimacy of our Catholic Faith and the many graces along the way. Jane, no doubt walked her walk through the necessary showers of graceful purgation...and now is bright, fresh, clean and transfigured into the garment of the 'elect'.
We will miss you lovely Mom, and Bernie -his oldest sister. But we will always remember Jane as a woman of amazing intellect; great pride in each of you her children, inlaws and indeed grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dear Jane... rest in peace through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen. We love and miss you.
