Charlie and Doug, sorry to hear of your loss. So many good memories from our family gatherings years ago. Jeff and I always looked forward to coming to Osage at Thanksgiving and going through the Ben Franklin. Uncle Chuck always showed us a kind heart. He had a laugh I'll never forget and will always keep those memories close. Thoughts and prays to all of Uncle Chucks family and friends.

My wife and I met Charlie early in 2007 when we moved to Cedar Rapids. He was always engaging and interesting to visit with. He clearly loved his wife, Carolyn, and his family. Whenever I saw him, Charlie made me feel like I was meeting an old friend for the thousandth time. He was kind to my wife and children when they met. Charlie was a pleasure to know and to be with.
