Obituary of Generose Arlene Conrad
DYERSVILLE, IOWA
Generose A. Conrad, 92, of Dyersville passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018, surrounded by her family at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque.
Visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9-10 am Wednesday at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018, St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Conway will officiate.
Jenny was born October 25, 1925, in Petersburg the daughter of John and Catherine (Nurre) Klostermann. She married Irvin J. Conrad on February 12, 1945, in Petersburg. Together they farmed near Bankston for forty years until retiring in 1981. She greatly appreciated her family and friends, and she liked a good game of cards.
Survivors include her children: Gary (Judy) Conrad of Dubuque, Wayne (Diana) Conrad of Davenport, Jean (Steve) Hoeger of Dubuque, Sharon (Bob) Roehlk of Bettendorf, Carmen (Ken) Jungling of Cedar Falls, Janet (John) Connolly of Bernard and Connie (Ed) Brecht of Cedar Rapids; 16 grandchildren: Alaina (Carl) Their, Tanya (Brad) Manternach, Emily (Tim) Lehman, Nic (Karen) Hoeger, Anna (Adam) Mueller, Stephanie (Tom) Emmons, Christine (Rich) Hoover, Janell (Eric) Jensen, Michelle (Jim) Work, Nichole (Matt) Nutz, Christopher (Jennifer) Conrad, Jenna (fiancé Eric Moberg) Connolly, Abby (Jonathan) Green, Olivia (fiancé Cody Burger) Connolly, Amanda Brecht and Melissa Brecht; 24 great grandchildren, and a sister, Sr. Marian Klostermann, OSF of Dubuque.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Irvin in 1998; siblings: Everett (Bernice) Klostermann, Zita (Clement) Lansing, Helen (Charles) Wessels, Dorothy (Allie) Olberding, Walter (Helen) Klostermann, Mildred (Alvin) Schlichte, and Donna (Bob) Juran; in-laws: John (Hilda) Conrad, Angie (Marion) Trinen, Susie (Leander) Eike, Marcella (John) Recker, Viola (Kenneth) Streif and Alfreida (Dick) Loeffelholz.
