Judy and family, so very sorry to hear the news of jim's passing...merle worked for his dad john, in the late 80's for 5 years....they ran a lot of miles sometimes and sometimes they had to nurse each other's truck back to dyersville.....merle figured that jack found an old GMC truck in the weeds of heaven and needed jimmy to drive it...he was a super guy and although we hadn't seen him for a long time, he made a lasting memory for sure...merle said that jim left us with a lesson...live each day like it's going be your last because you never know what tomorrow is going to bring...

Judy & Family,
I received the sad news about Jim from my cousin Mike Milz. If you can remember, my wife Beth & I stayed with you & Jim during my cousin Jeff's wedding. We are heart broken to hear the sad news! As I have not seen Jim in a long, long time, I often think about his quick wit and love for people when I recall the many great memories of visiting Dyersville. Please know that Jim, you and your family will be in our prayers!
May God Bless and hold you all during this difficult time.

Judy and family,
My condolences for your loss. I do not know how to offer any comfort in your bereavement. It goes without saying that Jim will be missed tremendously by countless people. He has touched many with his love of family, sense of humor and outlook on life. Jim, Jimbo, Jungle Jim, Hillbilly Jim, the original Boinger are some of the names I have used when greeting the big guy. Although I have been in Colorado 20 years one of the things on my to do list when I am back would be to visit The Link Truck-line even for a minute. Jim and all the Link family have been an influential part of my life. I always look forward to giving Jim crap when I see him, just to see what he is going to say back. I would always get a humorous response back usually degrading and demeaning and guaranteed to get a laugh.
