Obituary of Peggy Von Digmann
Peggy V. Digmann, 78, of Dyersville, Iowa died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester, Iowa.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a Vigil Service will be held at 2:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate.
Peg was born September 18, 1939 in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Walter “Max” and Althea (Schroeder) Oldham. She married Donald R. Lammers on August 14, 1958 in Colesburg, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1967. She later married Charles “Jim” Digmann on July 27, 1974 in Farley, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1996. Peg enjoyed bowling, golf and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She worked for the Ertl Company for 36 years. Peg was a member of St. Francis Xavier Basilica.
Survivors include her children: Janet (Gary) Gotto and Barb (Jeff) Watkinson both of Dyersville, Steve (Mary Kay) Lammers of Ballwin, MO, step children: Sherry (Dave) Grimes of Hazel Green, WI, Terry Digmann (friend Christin) of Anamosa, Dean (Sherry) Digmann of Marion, Rae Marie (Dan) Popp of Cuba City, WI, Randy (Lori) Digmann of Baraboo, WI, Debra Carroll of Platteville, WI, Patty (Tim) Ginter and Paula (Charles) Donar both of Cuba City, WI, Charles Jr. (Jodie) Digmann of Dubuque, Dawne (Melissa) Digmann of Green Bay, WI, 7 grandchildren: Mike (Christy), Russ and Sarah Gotto, Christina (fiancé Matt Risting) and Tony Watkinson, Jeremy (Christina) and Matt (Nikki) Lammers, sister, Judy (Dave) Niehaus, in-laws: Cheryl Oldham, Abbie Mormann, Vanita Knipper, Vern (Karen) Lammers, Irvin (Eloise) Lammers, Carol (Les) Simons, Robert (Jean) Digmann, Judy Digmann and Nancy Besler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Donald Lammers and Charles “Jim” Digmann, grandsons, Brian Gotto and Franklin Digmann, stepson, Douglas Digmann, brother, A. Max Oldham, and numerous in-laws.
Memorials may be directed to Above and Beyond Hospice, Beckman Catholic High School or St. Francis Xavier grade school.
