Obituary of Jane Marie Kronlage
Jane M. Kronlage, 73, of Coggon, Iowa, died Monday, November 6, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids after a brief battle with cancer.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello. Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning at Sacred Heart Church prior to funeral services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 10, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello, with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Prairieburg. Rev. Paul Baldwin will officiate.
Jane was born March 12, 1944, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Russell) Reinhardt of Mt. Vernon. She married Thomas J. Kronlage on November 20, 1965. She graduated from the nursing program at Mt. Mercy College. Jane was a Registered Nurse for many years working in several of the local hospitals in the area. When Jane wasn’t working she was helping with various jobs on the family farm and enjoyed spending time with her five children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Thomas Kronlage, 5 children: Alexandria Lawson of Toledo, OH, Karen (Keith) Reynolds of Hudson, IA, Michael (Jennifer) Kronlage of Johnston, IA, Connie (Bryan) Eggleston of Center Point, IA, and Chad (Stephanie) Kronlage of Washington, IA, 11 grandchildren: Collin, Ryan, Alex, Cam, Tyler, Ashlyn, Justin, Ben, Bailey, Kelsie, and Lauren, mother-in-law, Mabel Kronlage of Monticello, brothers: Robert (Kathleen) Reinhardt of Lakeville, MN, and David Reinhardt of Lisbon, IA, in-laws: Joyce (Lloyd) Welter of Monticello, Janet (Roger) Fredericks of Salem, IL, and Audrey (George) Bethell of Edgewood, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father–in-law, Louis Kronlage, daughter, Kathryn Kronlage, and her brother, Ronald Reinhardt.
