Obituary of Ethel Marie Jacque
DYERSVILLE, IOWA
Ethel M. Jacque, 86 of Dyersville, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Oak Crest Manor in Dyersville.
Visitation will be held from 3 – 8 pm Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville. Visitation will continue from 9 – 10 am Thursday at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate.
Ethel was born April 25, 1931, in Dyersville the daughter of Bernard and Leona (Kirsch) White. She married Richard L. Jacque on June 22, 1954, in Dyersville. Together they owned & operated Jacque’s Home Fashions in Dyersville until selling to their children in 1985. She took great pride in keeping an impeccable house and yard. Her family was her greatest joy and devotion.
Survivors include her children: Jeff (Donna) Jacque, Brian (Joleen) Jacque, Lisa (Pat) Burkle all of Dyersville, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Jacque of Dyersville; grandchildren: Becky (Steve) Newcomer, Laura (Marty) Kolinski, Danielle (Daragh) Watson, and Bryanna Jacque, Jessica (Marty) Milbert, Tara (Chris) Kolker, Kevin (fiancé Brianna Neyen) Jacque, Dustin Jacque, Lucas Jacque, and Maci Jacque, Kelsey (Aaron) Strong, Mason Ling; step grandchildren: Carter and Lauren Shaull, Brittany (Brandon) Knipper and Blake Burkle; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Allen (Dee) White of Guttenberg, and a sister, Gloria Marolf of Farley, a sister-in-law, Mary Lou White of Kearney, NE, and a brother-in-law, Donald Jacque of Dunkerton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dick in 2002, one son, Jayme Jacque in 2013, a brother, Vernon White, brothers-in-law, Ralph Marolf, Paul (Delores) Jacque, Bob (Bert) Jacque, LeRoy Jacque, and sisters-in-law, Joan (Tony) DeSousa and Charlene Jacque.
Memorials are preferred to St. Francis Xavier Basilica or Beckman Catholic High School.
