Kevin C. Kramer, 53, of Hopkinton, Iowa died suddenly Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa. Kevin was born June 26, 1957, in Manchester, Iowa the son of Lawrence and Mildred (Goldsmith) Kramer. He married Sue Weber on June 13, 1981 in Delhi. Friends may call from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Hopkinton, Iowa. A parish scripture service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Hopkinton with burial in the Hopkinton Cemetery. Rev. John Kremer will officiate. He owned and operated Kevin Kramer Trucking in Hopkinton since 1979 and was a 30 year member of the Hopkinton Fire Department. Kevin was a loving husband and the best dad in the world who loved his family and friends very much. He was also a great asset to the community. Kevin was a very generous person, typically not seeking any recognition for his efforts. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his wife, Sue; 3 children: Matthew (Carrie Besler) of Cedar Rapids, Brittany of Earlville and Courtney (Jayme Digman) of Hopkinton. 5 sisters: Dianne (Mariano) Diaz-Miranda of Austin, TX, Mary (Jay) Yanda of Hopkinton, Julie (Al) Coyle, Sheila (Jim) Tjaden and Lori (Ron) Welter, all of Monticello; 6 brothers: Dale (Wendy) of Baldwin, WI, Dean (Vicki) of Sand Springs, Pat (Norma) Peosta, Dan (Shelley) of Solon, Rick (Denise Niles) and his twin, Keith (Sherry), all of Hopkinton; his mother-in-law, Veronica Weber of Delhi; brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Wayne Weber and Margo (Rick) Bojorquez, both of Delhi, Norma Weber, Nancy (Gary) Moorehead, and John (Crystal) Weber, all of Cedar Rapids, Joyce (Jim) Nehl of St. Joseph, MO, Tom Weber of Prescott, AZ, Cathy (Bob) Aldrich of Langworthy, Roger Weber of Seattle, WA, Paula (John) Hargrafen of Hopkinton, Jayne (Kenny) Kirschbaum of Garner; five godchildren; Joe Kramer, Megan Kramer, Maci Welter, Michelle Moorehead, Justin Hunter, and many nieces and nephews; He is preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, John Weber.
