MONTICELLO, IOWA Roxanne M. Alden, 56, of Monticello died Friday, April 15, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family after a three and a half year battle with ovarian cancer. A visitation will be held from 4 – 8 pm Monday, April 18, 2016, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at United Church of Monticello with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Edwin Moreano will officiate. Roxanne was born July 12, 1959, in Manchester, IA the daughter of LeVern and Delores (Hook) Chapman. She graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School with the Class of 1977. Roxanne was a Food Coordinator at the Anamosa State Penitentiary. Those who knew Roxanne would say she was feisty, loving and generous. She would give you anything she had although she had very little except great love. She is survived by her three children: Brooke Alden and her children, Allison and Zander, Tyler Turnis and Katelynne Alden all of Monticello; her parents, siblings: Leroy Hartwig of Center Junction, Dean (Vicky) Chapman of Hopkinton, Kathy (Doug) Timmer of Manchester and Brenda (Randy) Steiner of Monticello; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Roxanne is preceded in death by her grandparents, Herbert and Catherine Hook and Clarence and Myrtle Chapman, and an infant brother, Ricky.
