Mom,
I thought of you with love today,
but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday,
and the day before that, too.
I think of you in silence,
I often say your name,
But all I have is memories
and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake,
with which I'll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
I have you in my heart.
I shed tears for what might have been,
a million times I've cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
in death I love you still,
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you,
but you didn't go alone,
For part of me went with you,
the day God took you home.
The Golden Gate stood open
He saw that you were getting tired,
and a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms around you,
and whispered, "Come with Me".
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer
and saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
Your heart full of love stopped beating
your happy little hands to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
that he only takes the best.

I have no answer now.
But hopefully at the end of my journey in life, I will find the reason why?
My life is but a weaving
Between my God and me.
I cannot choose the colors
He weaveth steadily.
Oft’ times He weaveth sorrow;
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.
Not ’til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Will God unroll the canvas
And reveal the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
In the weaver’s skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned
He knows, He loves, He cares;
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives the very best to those
Who leave the choice to Him.

Fritz and family, We,are so sorry to hear of the passing of Arlene. Ron and I extend to you our sincere sympathy in this sad time. We are not going to be able to attend the wake service for Arlene as we are also laying to rest this morning our dear aunt--Mae Pasker from Manchester. We will certainly miss seeing Arlene in the neighborhood. She,always had a friendly wave if we were in the Garden. We will keep you and your family in our prayers today as you lay her to rest. Blessings and Peace to All.

You all have my deepest sympathy. I just learned of Arlene's passing.
I wish I could be there for you tomorrow, but have a previous commitment.
May God bless you all and I know when I think of her, I will smile, because of the good memories. Love you all.

We will always cherish memories of dear Grandma Leni... Her words of wisdom were so often filled with insight, her laughter was contagious and her singing always brought us a smile. This kind and loving lady is, without a doubt, spreading sunshine and joy to all the other angels in heaven. Sending love and deepest sympathies to you, Shelly, John, Maggie, Annie, Fritz and to all who loved Arlene.
