ANAMOSA, IOWA
Judy A. Lewis, 70, of Anamosa, Iowa died Monday, April 4, 2016, at home surrounded by her family and loved ones. .
Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello, 700 E Oak St. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday April 7, 2016 also at Kramer Funeral Home.
Judy was born on May 19, 1945, in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Esther (Brokaw) Streeper. She graduated from Midland High School in Wyoming, Iowa. She married Darrell Lewis on June 8, 1963, in Amber, Iowa. Judy was the floor supervisor at Emerson Motors in Anamosa for 18 years. Her most important job was helping to raise her grandchildren and many other kids who called her Grandma Judy. Holidays were special to Judy, baking weekend at Christmas was her favorite time of year. In her spare time she enjoyed doing crafts, quilting, cooking, and camping.
Survivors include 3 children: Randy (Lisa) Lewis of Anamosa, Debbie (Chuck) Eilers of Scotch Grove, and Chris (Corri) Lewis of Tacoma, WA; 10 grandchildren: Zachariah, Tyler and Kylaena Lewis of Tacoma, WA, Cameron and Connyr Lewis of Anamosa, Taylor, Taryn and Tori Eilers of Scotch Grove, Calli Tenley of Anamosa and Katie (Josh) Devries of Sumas, WA, 8 great grandchildren: Ethan, Drew, Paisley, AJ, Bradley, Carson, Israel, Eliza, and Levi; 9 siblings: Bonnie Peterson of Martelle, Sharon Stoos of Marion, Jerry Streeper of Maquoketa, Steve Streeper of Norwalk, Bob Steeper of Cedar Rapids, Dick Streeper of Scotch Grove, Linda Behnke of Anamosa, Susan Miller of Marengo and Lois Taylor of Hopkinton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell in 2009; a son, Virgil in 1980; her parents; her parents-in-law, Richard and Bernita (Leser) Lewis; brother-in-laws: Joe Stoos, Richard Peterson, LeRoy, Claire and Joe Lewis; sister-in-laws: Diane Streeper, Valetta Lewis, Sharon Corkery and LaRue Keith, niece, Renee Martin and nephew, Rod Peterson.
