Dear Ries and Olberding Families,
Our community has lost one of it's strongholds with the passing of Alice. I remember her as a kind and loving woman. I know she cherished her grandchildren. I have such fond feelings for these grandchildren because so many of them worked for my toys for needy project and spoke so highly and respectful of their grandmother. Each one of you have my thoughts and prayers and sympathy as you walk in the valley of darkness. May you bask in the legacy she leaves behind. I can see her sitting outside of the Ellen Kennedy Center always with a smile and a warm greeting. May you receive eternal bliss. Miriam Eick

To the family of Alice:
Even though we are out of town and cannot be with you during this time, we are thinking and praying and thinking of all of you.
When I went to visit my Aunt Geraldine, I always enjoyed my visit with Alice to. She was a classy lady with a soft, spoken voice.

Our sympathy to Elaine and Carl, and to the whole Ries family. Alice raised and loved a beautiful family. Everyone loved Alice, so kind and friendly. She deserved respect for all she did in her life. Such an example to all. Heaven is celebrating her today.
