Jill M. Wilson, 42, of New Vienna, Iowa, died Monday, May 23, 2011, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, Guttenberg, Iowa, after a four year battle with cancer. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture will be held at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Vienna, Iowa, with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Al Vorwald with Rev. John O'Connor concelebrating. Survivors include her parents, Fred and Carol Vorwald of New Vienna, children: Ashley and Justin Wilson of New Vienna, fiancé, Rick Pasker and his children: Ashley, Emily and Austin Pasker of New Vienna, siblings: Lisa (Brian) Fettkether of Dyersville, Karla (Kent) Ashline of Guttenberg, Wendy (Steve) Steger of Herington, KS, Jeff (Beth) Kaiser of Dubuque, nieces and nephews: Rachel and Logan Fettkether, Nicole, Alicia and Mitchell Ashline, Zachary, Amanda and Colton Steger. Jill was born on April 1, 1969, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Carol (Deutmeyer) Vorwald. She graduated from Edgewood-Colesburg H.S. in 1987 and NICC Nursing program in 1989. Jill concluded her registered nursing career of over 20 years at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital where she had made many close friends whom she considered her second family. Jill enjoyed outdoor activities including riding her horse Lily, spending time with her dog Tiny, cooking and baking, fishing with Justin, shopping with Ashley, attending her children's sports activities and tractor parades with Rick. Jill's priority in life was her children, whom always came first. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, including a very special grandma Irene Vorwald and several uncles.
