DYERSVILLE, IOWA Alma A. Vaske, 94, of Dyersville, Iowa died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Oak Crest Manor, Dyersville. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday March 9 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Luxemburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Luxemburg, Iowa. Officiating will be Rev. Noah Diehm. Alma was born on April 1, 1920 in Petersburg, IA, the daughter of Anton and Catherine (Kramer) Koelker. She married Cletus P Vaske on September 18, 1945 in Petersburg. Clete and Alma were married 56 years until Clete passed away in 2002. Together they farmed south of Luxemburg until their retirement in 1981 when they moved to Dyersville. In their younger days Alma and Clete loved to dance. They met at a Petersburg dance and over the years they continued to dance at many memorable dances. Many happy times were shared with the Luxemburg gang. Alma enjoyed cross stitching, baking, making her famous potato salad and delicious pies, growing her beautiful flowers, puzzles, seek and find in red ink, and watching the birds. Alma will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Survivors include her 4 children,; 1 son, Wayne (Connie) Vaske of Luxemburg; 3 daughters: Karon (Gary) Steger of Cashton, WI, Sharon (Carl) Jaeger of Edgewood, Nancy (Wayne) Clemen of New Vienna; 2 daughters-in-law: Dorothy (Vaske)(George) Gray of Cuba City, WI, Pat (Vaske)(Dick) Rotzoll of Asbury; 15 grandchildren: Karie(Rod) Horsfield, Chad (Lynn) Vaske, Scott (Sandy) Vaske, Lynsi (Josh) McCarty, Wes (Amber) Vaske, Brittany Vaske, Craig (Lisa) Steger, Jeff (Theresa) Steger, Mark Steger, Theresa Steger, Carmen Jaeger, Daryl (Beth) Jaeger, Amber (Scott) Wessels, Rachel Clemen and Kyle Clemen; 27 great-grandchildren and two more due this year; 1 brother: Allan "Bud" (Marian) Koelker of Petersburg, 1 sister in law: Annie Vaske of Dyersville.
