WORTHINGTON, IOWA
Arlene M. Jaeger, 86, of Worthington died Friday, January 9, 2015, at Oak Crest Manor in Dyersville.
Friends may call from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a parish vigil service will be held at 4:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Worthington, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jeffrey Dole will officiate.
Arlene was born January 31, 1928, in Farley, Iowa the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Oberbroeckling) Kramer. She married Jerome J. Jaeger on September 16, 1947, in Farley, Iowa. Together they farmed near Worthington. Arlene catered many area weddings and funerals and she crocheted many beautiful afghans and doilies. She also loved to go bowling and play cards.
Survivors include her children: Sharon (Jack) Wolfe of Farley, Jane (Arden) Gudenkauf of Dyersville, Diane (Clarence) Tuel of Worthington and Dale (Marty) Jaeger of Hopkinton,
10 grandchildren: Joe (Dorothy) Wolfe, Jeff (Michelle) Wolfe, Angela (David) Kelley, Matt (Chelsea) Wolfe, Brian (Jenny) Gudenkauf, Kris (Joe) Wetrich, Justin (Libby) Tuel, Jason Tuel, Waylon (Lynn) Jaeger, Jessika (Kenny) Darbyshire; 2 step grandchildren: Stacey (Timmy) Meader and Alli Wetrich;
15 great grandchildren
in-laws: Mae Kramer of Dyersville, Marguerite Kramer of Lamont, Laura Willenbring of Farley, John Wolfe of Clinton and Bernice Honkomp of Dyersville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerome in 1992, 6 brothers: Ray (Agnes), Leonard (Margaret), Clarence (Lucille), Joe (Mary Ann), LaVerne and Herbert Kramer, 6 sisters: Evelyn (Joe) Winter, Mercedes (Vince) Ries, Bernice (Laverne) Lansing, Lorraine (Jack) Kramer, Martha Jane (Charles) Demmer and Marcella Kramer; in-laws: Helen (Gilbert) Honkomp, Clete Murphy, Don Willenbring and Grace Wolfe.
