I offer my sympathy for the loss of Mary and will remember the family in my prayers. I walked from our house near Tegeler's Dairy to the swimming pool and often went my Mary's house picking up Mary Kay (classmate) on the way. Remember her smile and laugh most of all.

As a kid I remember going to family gatherings and Mary would always be there with her big smile. When I married and moved to Dyersville I would stop over for a "quick" visit---knowing I would be there for at least an hour or more. She always offered me something to eat and drink! She would call me anytime she saw my kid's pictures and names mentioned in the paper. Mary would also call me after receiving our family Christmas Photo and letter....she always had to tell me how much my boys looked like Gebhards. Also no matter how cold or how hot I would see Mary walking to her destination. I would try to offer he a ride and she would pass up the offer and tell me she didn't have far to go--think she only let me pick her up once in all the years!she was such a great lady!
