Larry Dean, loving husband and best friend of Marie; loving, patient, kind father of Amy and Shawn, my cousin; you will be missed so much. I hold dear the growing-up childhood memories; all those times playing on the Krutzfield Farm near Center Junction. My double cousin, you have been like the brother I never had. I remember how close you were to my dad and how you would call him from time to time to check in. You two would talk about the weather, crops, livestock, baseball and family. You were just that type of guy to take the time to call. I'm so sad you were called away from this earthly life so soon. I am at peace knowing you will be watching for me and I will rejoice when I see you again. You will be kept alive in my memory and heart until that time. Love you Cuz Verna

Dear Marie and family, So shocked to here this sad news to say the least. Always enjoyed the fun we had in High School with Larry's brand of humor! Anytime he was around there was laughter and fun. You were such a lucky person to have shared so many years together. I wish you an easy transition to life without him. Please except our condolences and we hope it helps you and your family to get through this very difficult time. Ron Heeren/Class of 71

Always enjoyed hanging around Larry and Marie! Especially loved his "huh" and then the jolly smile, holding that ever wanted laugh back. He had a one of a kind sense of humor.....I never passed up a time to try to humor him by picking at him, sitting on his big lap and 'rubbing' his 'big belly' Miss you a lot Larry, love you and see you when our time comes.

Marie, I was so shocked to hear this & am so sorry for your loss. There is hardly a day goes by without me thinking of Larry & so many other friends I grew up with. Larry & I were good friends thru the school years; we played Little League together; we played Babe Ruth together; he was the pitcher & I was the catcher; later we even played in the men's softball league... I remember after Kass & I were married & y'all were dating we would drive to Cedar Rapids to eat at McDonalds & he & I would eat about 10 of the 15 cent hamburgers... We use to take our cars out in his parents pasture & spin donuts...in the winter we even drove out on the ice at Central Park to spin donuts... I remember when his car rolled down the hill from our trailer house & ran into Smity's little building... A lot of great memories of your family growing up in Center Jct. looking back makes us realize just how short this life really is... I wish we could be there to give you a hug but this will have to do. Kass & I love you very much & will have you in our thoughts & prayers as you go thru this transition in your life. Becoming a widow isn't something one looks forward to but you can draw strength by staying close to your family & friends. Love, Keith & Kathy Cross
