Lynn M. Westhoff, 46, of Dyersville, Iowa died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at her home following a courageous 4-year battle with cancer. Friends may call from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Lynn was born November 8, 1967, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Wayne and Darlene (Funke) Wegmann. She graduated with the Western Dubuque Class of 1986, and went on to receive an Associates Degree in Accounting from AIB. She married Doug Westhoff on June 30, 1990, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville. Lynn was a dedicated employee at Ed Fett Accounting in Dubuque for the past 26 years. She was an avid sports fan, taking her parents to the Girls State Basketball Tournament during her junior year of high school, and later watching her boys participate in many sports including football, basketball, track, and baseball. She also enjoyed Noah's creative side. His time spent baking, the enjoyment he got from gardening, and his interest in choir and the stage always brought a smile to her face. She loved the Hawkeyes, the Cardinals, and Yankees. She also enjoyed walking in the early mornings and family vacations to Lake Okoboji. The sunsets, nutty bars, and evening boat rides were her favorites. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Survivors include her husband, Doug, 3 sons: Hunter (special friend, Tara), Jacob and Noah, her parents: Wayne and Darlene Wegmann of Dyersville, father and mother-in-law: Henry and Mary Jean Westhoff of New Vienna; 1 sister, Lisa (Randy) Ludwig of Dyersville, three brothers: Scott (Mary) Wegmann of Manchester, Brian (Sara) Wegmann of Grundy Center and Brad (Julie) Wegmann of Marion; in-laws: Kurt (Amy) Westhoff of Des Moines, Brian (special friend Judy Rosenow) Westhoff of Dubuque, Chris (Sheri) Westhoff of Altoona, Sally (Jeff) Vetter of Altoona, Karen (special friend Blake Liles) Chiasson of Abilene, TX, and Andy (Amanda) Westhoff of Strawberry Point; 23 nieces and nephews; her grandmother-in-law, Dolores Deutmeyer of Dyersville and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hugo and Regina Funke, Joe and Henrietta Wegmann, her grandparents-in-law, Hubert and Marie Westhoff and Gregor Tegeler. Lynn asked that a special thank you be extended to Ed Fett Accounting, especially Ed and Shirley Fett, Deb Kittoe, and Scott Fett for their years of support. A college education memorial fund has been established for her sons and memorials are preferred.
