Obituary of Vincent Wroblewski

Vincent A. Wroblewski, age 85, of Cascade, formerly of Monticello, Iowa died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade Iowa. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m, Tuesday August 23, 2011 at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello, Iowa where a parish scripture service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m.,Wednesday August 24, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monticello, Iowa with burial in Sacred Heart cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Keith Birch. Surviving Vincent is his sister, Betty Schlimmer of Monticello, 2 nephews, Jack (Renae) Schlimmer of Lincoln, Nebraska. and James (Ellen) Weis of Jacksonville, Florida, 2 nieces, Jean (Kenny) Wilson of Clay Center, Nebraska. and Kathleen Weis of New Hope, Pennsylvania. Vincent is also survived by grand nephew Josh and grand nieces, Jackie, Renee Jennifer, Chris, Angie and Christina. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Helen Weis and nephew Tom Schlimmer. Vincent was born on March 31, 1936, in Monticello, Iowa, the son of Anton and Florence Parrott Wroblewski. He served in the United States Army from 1944 until 1946 in the 748th Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion.
