PETERSBURG, IOWA
Alfred C. Reinert, 78, of Petersburg, Iowa died Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center, Dyersville, Iowa.
Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014, at Kramer Funeral
Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where the Dyersville Fire Department will meet at 6:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Petersburg, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. John O'Connor will officiate.
Alfie was born September 11, 1935 in Petersburg, Iowa, the son of Anselm and Henrietta (Deppe) Reinert. He married Agnes "Ann" Boeckenstedt on September 15, 1962 in Dyersville, Iowa. Together they farmed just south of Petersburg and raised their family. Alfie was a woodsman with a love for walnut lumber. He enjoyed farming, the annual Farmer's Market and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Alfie was a lifelong member of SS. Peter & Paul Parish and the Knights of Columbus Council 1734.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes "Ann", 10 children: Lynne Chapman of Dubuque, Jeff (Carmen) Reinert of Dyersville, Steve (Donna) Reinert of Aledo, TX, Lisa Reinert of Orlando, FL, Vicki (Loras) Lansing of Dyersville, Kim (Mike) Barrick of Carlisle, PA, Cindy (Steve) Dunkel of Worthington, Emily (Mike) Boge of Farley, Andrew (Kimberly) Reinert of Dubuque, Tony (Casey) Reinert of Dyersville, grandchildren: Stephanie Reinert (fiance', Brant Janssen), Rachel and Nic Reinert, Sarah & Zachary Reinert, Jackie (Alex) Sellner, Jacob, Josh and Jenna Lansing, Amber, Shaun, Isaac and Emma Barrick, Becca, Eli, Sophie and Noah Dunkel, Lukas and Erik Boge, Kayleigh and Briella Reinert, Hannah Reinert,

brothers and sisters-in-laws: Dick (Judy) Boeckenstedt of Dyersville, Don (Connie) Boeckenstedt of Staunton, IL, Mary Lou Foxen (Gary Deutsch) of Dubuque, Tom (Joan) Boeckenstedt of Dyersville, Rose Weber of Brighton, CO, Frank (Marlene) Boeckenstedt of Dyersville, Nancy (Dave) Feltes, Deb (Tom) Rubner, both of Worthington, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Christopher John Reinert in 1977, his parents: Anselm and Henrietta Reinert, parents-in-law: Arthur and Helen Boeckenstedt, one sister, Mary Ann Reinert and a sister-in-law, Mary Reinert.
