Obituary of Jayme Bernard Jacque

Jayme B. Jacque, 56, of Dyersville, Iowa died peacefully in his home on Friday, November 1, 2013, surrounded by his family.
Friends may call from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. John O'Connor will officiate.
Jayme was born September 18, 1957, son of Richard and Ethel (White) Jacque. He grew up in Dyersville, and attended Beckman Catholic High School. When Jayme was 14 he began working at the family business, Jacque's Home Fashions. After graduating high school, he began working full time at the family "store", and was primarily responsible for the carpet and flooring installations.
On October 29, 1977, he met the love of his life, Cindy Wilwert. They were married on September 22, 1979, in Rickardsville, and the two of them continued their love story for 34 years. Together they raised three children: Jessica, Tara and Kevin. Jayme enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his incredible work ethic, quick wit, willingness to always help a friend or family member in need, and enjoying life to the fullest.
Jayme's love and legacy will live on through the lives of his wife, Cindy, his three children: Jessica (Marty) Milbert of Mission, KS, Tara (Chris) Kolker of Iowa City, and Kevin of Dubuque, three grandchildren: Griffin and Vivian Milbert and Lydia Kolker. He is also survived by his mother: Ethel Jacque of Dyersville, his siblings: Jeff (Donna) Jacque, Brian (Jolene) Jacque and Lisa (Pat) Burkle, all of Dyersville, his brothers-in-law: Dan (Joan) Wilwert of Holy Cross, Allen (June) Wilwert of Des Moines, and Tom (Jen) Wilwert of Elkader, sisters-in-law: Deb (Joe) Burke of Cedar Rapids and Angie (Jim) Smith of DeSoto along with countless loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Jacque, and mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Elaine Wilwert.
Jayme's family would like to express their sincere gratitude towards all of their friends and family for their continued support. Additionally, they would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque, especially Amy McDonald, Dr. Christine Sinsky, the staff of Medical Associates Oncology, and the staff of Mercy Hospital of Dubuque for their care and compassion.
A Jayme Jacque memorial fund has been established and memorials are preferred.
