Obituary of Marvel Christina Lansing

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Eugene, two sons: Doran (Lynn) Hines of Marshfield, MO, Mark (Debra) Hines of Cedar Rapids, IA, one daughter, Debra Renee Roth of Dyersville, IA, one brother, Joseph H. (Mary) Marcov of Dubuque, IA, one sister, Alyce Hines of Dubuque, IA, 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, 2 special men she felt as grandsons: David Halweg and Justin Davis. Marvel also leaves behind her cat, Zoey, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, April Faye Hines Dean, a son, Gregor Charles Hines, sisters: Bertha Defendi, Myrtle Hoppman and Ruth Thomas, brothers: Ryan, Norman and Raymond Marcov, Martin and George Tittle. Marvel was born on February 21, 1925 to Chris and Myrtle (Seeley) Marcov. She was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. She married Eugene H. Lansing on August 7, 1972 in Dubuque, Iowa. Marvel was a member of the New Hope Lutheran Church of Farley, Iowa, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. We would like to thank the Dyersville Ambulance Staff and Dubuque Mercy Hospital doctors & nurses for their special care. Also, special thanks to Dr. Andrea Ries, Dr. Sullivan and Dr. Morrow. We are very grateful to all who touched her life and for all your many prayers. Memorials are preferred.
