Johnny was many things to me through out our lives. He always had nicknames for people that we worked with. Mine was Freeed. He always made me laugh. And the stories. He had stories like Webster’s has words. He had a great memory. When we met up again it was more than obvious we both needed some kind of human kindness. With both of us in agreement we began to get him in a more comfortable setting and me back in the game of life. Not having anyone who cared enough to check up on you, was a new dynamic for me. One that I began to love and cherish from John. My dear dear JC. He sometimes referred to himself as Johnny Cat. So one night I addressed him as JC he was a bit puzzled. I meant Johnny Cat. I will always think highly of him but JC is taken to our lord Jesus Christ. I will love him forever. He was my co-worker at one time, my friend for many years after that and towards the end my confidante, cheerleader, and great advisor. I will love and miss my friend forever.

John Reade was my neighbor and high school classmate. I remember when he, my brother Ron and Doug Rickels would pal around as kids. I also remember him talking about working with Wayne Newton. I was impressed by his obituary noting that he was a devoted Christian who kept his Bible with him. I understand that is difficult to do in the Las Vegas casino environment. John was a good man. God Bless him and his family.

As the wife of John’s cousin, Jim I can honestly say I never REALLY knew John well until Facebook. We lived out West for many years and then returned to Iowa and only saw John on occasion when he returned to Iowa. As a Facebook friend I was able to “really get to know John” from his spiritual and heartfelt posts. It was a testimony to this man, Jim called……. cousin!
RIP dear John!!

I've known John since I was 13 years old maybe even earlier ... growing up in Las Vegas.
We've loved each other and respected each other my whole life.
I was looking through photos of us and found this birthday collage card I made for him ...
it says it all.
John's passing is a huge hole in my life.
I will miss him dearly. I will love him forever.

So sorry to hear that John passed away. Friends since we were six years old, all the good times we shared at the golf course are memories that will never be forgotten. Then on to Las Vegas where we had successful careers in the gaming industry. You will be missed, John. R.I.P.

I worked with John for 20 years in the gaming business at the Mirage. He was one of the truly genuine people I ever met. He had a tremendous sense of humor while treating everyone with respect. Farewell my friend, I will miss you but will never forget you. My condolences to his three sisters.
