Dear Sue and family,
I am expressing to each of you, my sincere sympathy as you walk in the valley of darkness. It never failed whenever I would meet Allan, I would see good day Mr. Ertl because I was never sure which one I was talking to. He would say to me Mr. Ertl was my dad. He always seemed so cheerful when i would run across him in city hall. May he rest in peace and enjoy the blessings he so richly deserves. Thinking of you, Sue. May you be comforted by family and friends.. Miriam Eick

My fondest childhood memories of uncle “A” were spending time at their mansion on the hill. I loved going to their home and horse barn. My dad even met Tanya Tucker there to look at a horse when uncle Allan was out of town. Being the “3rd” daughter really wasn’t that bad, lol.
I also remember going to the Round Up Room & Ertl Lanes when he and my Godmother, Ruth, owned it. Those were the good ole days!
RIP and give my dad a bear hug for me.
Love,
Krisanne Ertl

RIP to you WHIP!
Uncle, Godfather and Friend.
Had so many fond memories with 'WHIP' especially in my younger years around the quarter horses. Hauling horses to Texas and Oklahoma. Then taking dogs to Abilene KS with you and for you. Always fun to be around. Never a dull moment!!
Well now, I'm sure you are playing 500 with your Dad and brothers Fred Jr. and (my Dad) Robert.
God Bless your entire family!
Your Nephew, Godson & Friend,
David 'Vid', Becky, Jarrett and Samuel Ertl
